"Tuesday night art classes are the highlight of my week. Jane, our art teacher, has a passion for teaching, sharing and encouraging artists. Getting my hands dirty with charcoal, graphite and watercolor pencils is good for my soul. Can’t wait for next week, Asia’s smile, and our next colorful project." -Megan S., Raleigh, NC

Meet your guides.. We're here to bring out the best in YOU!

Hi there! I'm Asia, Art Course Coordinator!

A little about me... I am a beginner for sure. I have a teaching background and started art classes as a fun, relaxing outlet. I have taken watercolor, drawing, and metalsmith classes and also love veggie + herb gardening. Whenever I can get my hands dirty… I’m happy!

As a beginning art student, I understand how inspired I become when painting or drawing with a community of friends. I’ve tried to paint and draw at home and end up doing everything around my house except painting and drawing. That’s why I’m passionate about sharing ColourWheel Art Classes. I want you to have a supportive environment that brings out the best in you so you can create what you love.

Our talented and patient teacher, Jane Cheek

Jane attended North Carolina State University where she received a BA in Visual Arts Applications. She then completed her K-12 Visual Arts Teacher Certification at Eastern Carolina University. After graduating, she taught art for five years at a K-8 charter school in Durham. She now teaches private art classes, works as a studio artist, and exhibits her work around the Triangle.

Jane's caring style and sense of humor will put you at ease.

Beginner? You're in good hands...

“I like the fact that I’m trying new things and this is something I’ve always wanted to try. I also enjoy the various mediums and techniques and Jane is great!
